In 2018, Speck Family Dealerships added a new dealership along with four new franchises! Mid-Valley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Grandview is now Speck Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. In November 2019, the CDJR dealership moved to a brand-new facility at 125 E. Allen Road, Sunnyside, Washington, 98944.

Speck Dealer Group History

Founded in 1912, the Speck family’s automotive legacy began when Clayton Speck established a Buick dealership. Soon after Chevrolet was added and the dealership grew alongside the community. Even during challenging times like the Great Depression and World War II, the business continued to serve customers, converting its service department to support military manufacturing. Clayton Speck was also known for his generosity and strong community values, setting the customer-first foundation that continues to define the organization today.

Leadership passed through generations, with James R. Speck guiding operations in the mid-1900s and helping modernize vehicle delivery and distribution. In 1975, third-generation owner James C. Speck expanded the business, adding new franchises and supporting industry leadership. In 1998, fourth-generation owner Kathryn “Katy” Moore led the move to a modern 60,000-square-foot facility along I-82, positioning the dealership for continued growth and long-term service to the region.

Additional Car Dealerships in Tri-Cities and the Yakima Valley

Speck Family Dealerships expanded over the decades by acquiring multiple local auto dealerships, bringing in additional franchises while modernizing facilities. The dealer group has added car dealerships in Prosser, Pasco, and Kennewick. Later expansions included acquiring and rebranding longstanding family-owned dealerships , helping the group become one of the largest new and used auto retailers in the region.
